Effluent Pumps like the Little Giant 6EC-CIM and 9EC-CIM are designed to move pre-treated wastewater from a septic pump chamber or dosing tank to a drain field or secondary treatment system. Unlike sewage pumps, effluent pumps handle liquid that has already passed through the septic tank with solids settled out. If your septic system has a pump chamber, this is the pump you need.

Not sure which effluent pump is right for your system? The two most important factors are your voltage (115V is most common for residential) and your required flow rate, which depends on the distance and elevation from your pump chamber to your drain field. The Little Giant 9EC-CIM has a higher output than the 6EC-CIM and is the better choice for longer runs or systems with more elevation to overcome.
